To assist TLA and the Tech Ecosystem through initiatives which support; Selling (Business Development), Strategic Partnering, Showcasing and Strategic Development, for Start-Ups, High-Growth and Scale-Ups.

 

Highlights of 2014:

Formed in the middle of 2014 the Group has quickly established a core of individuals who are interested and supportive of the aims of the group. Specifically, the Group supported Sherry Coutu’s Scale-Up Report launch through events held at the London Stock Exchange and in recruiting Scale-Up Ambassadors.

The Group also engaged with Grant Thornton and the Growth Accelerator programme. It has also become apparent that the Group will increasingly become a signposting team, enabling advocates of TLA to seek other individual and corporate advocates with complimentary objectives.

The Group also started planning for a Tech online application/services showcasing platform to reach potential customers nationally and internationally, with a strategic partnering go-to-market model which assists media organisations monetise their digital online presence.

 

Planned activity for 2015:

We shall be running promotional events, workshops and engaging with Advocates to ensure the initiatives available are promoted and made available to others who can develop their businesses/organisations faster through engagement and participation with the Group and other relevant TLA Advocates.

We also will be expanding the strategic development through mentoring, advisory and consultancy support for growing companies in the UK Tech space. As well as, expanding the access to market through SME networking forum and showcasing platform.

Hopefully we shall be able to obtain some media representatives as members of the Group so as to promote the TLA Advocate and Tech UK growth related services and support out to a much wider audience. Hence helping to expand the UK digital economy through; helping SMEs to adopt online services, helping UK Tech companies to accelerate growth through partnering, enabling Tech services to promote effectively in the UK and abroad, as well as, ensuring those with Scale-Up potential are suitably supported through the mentor, development and resource facilities increasingly being made available through the TLA advocate network.

Number of Advocates in Group:

A core of 6 to 7 regular attendees, with 4/5 other individuals who attend occasionally but with 4/5 other organisations/individuals on the fringes and likely to become involved.
